The Swiss Rich List by Springer ranks Switzerland's billionaires by net worth. It is a periodic, evidence-based snapshot rather than a live tracker: each figure reflects the most recent estimate available at the time of compilation, and is not adjusted for market movement between editions.

Net worth is the value of an individual's confirmed assets — listed and unlisted holdings, property, trusts, foundations and other identifiable wealth — net of known liabilities. Publicly traded holdings are valued at the share price on the publication date of the underlying source; private holdings rely on the originating publication's valuation method. Where those are insufficient, Springer cross-checks against company reports (Swiss listed and private firms' annual and interim filings, SIX disclosures, commercial-register extracts), offshore and corporate registers (including the ICIJ Offshore Leaks database — Panama Papers, Paradise Papers, Pandora Papers — and national beneficial-ownership registers where public), and open-source intelligence (regulatory filings, court records, land and shipping registries, investigative journalism, NGO and academic datasets). Springer does not independently value any fortune; the list reports and reconciles published estimates.
Forbes publishes in US dollars, Bilanz in Swiss francs. Figures are shown as published; conversions, where used, apply the exchange rate on the publication date. Differences between an individual's Forbes and Bilanz estimates reflect different currencies, cut-off dates and valuation assumptions, and are not errors.
Ties share a rank and skip the next (two at rank 1 are followed by rank 3). Family wealth appears per named individual where the source discloses it, and as a holding where it does not — so the same pool of wealth can appear under more than one entry.
Where a newer Forbes figure exists than the ranked 2023 value, it is shown as a secondary “Latest Forbes” line. The ranked value stays as the 2023 estimate so the order remains internally consistent.
These use Bilanz's regional estimates, which are published as ranges. The range is shown as published; the bar is scaled to its midpoint for visual comparison only.
Every figure links to the article that supports it. A dashed “single source” tag means only the aggregated Forbes list currently backs that entry — shown rather than hidden. Superseded sources are retained as the historical basis for the ranked value. Where a discrepancy exists between sources, the entry notes it and the underlying documents are cited.
A journalistic compilation, not an audited register. Estimates move with markets, currency and each publication's valuation assumptions, and the absence of an individual from a register or leak does not imply absence of wealth. Inclusion does not imply Springer has verified a fortune; exclusion does not imply someone is not a billionaire. Information only; not financial, legal or tax advice.
